Garrett, Texas, is a small community just outside of Houston, in south Texas. There is some contention over how much money the community contributes to the city of Houston proper, but most people who live in the vicinity call it home. The town was founded by a man named Garrett, Cole Younger, who later changed his name to Earle Haley. He wanted a location where he could raise cattle and wanted a place that would "stand out.” Some of the original attractions of the town include Old Town Square, Depot Avenue, Main Street, and downtown streets.
